Top 10 beautiful but dangerous birds

When you think of birds, you probably think of small, cute animals that soar through the air, swooping down to reach their nests. Maybe you think about those "beautiful" songbirds in the morning. I personally find them annoying. In any case, the description of a bird generally does not give anything scary.

However, not all birds are pretty and not all are beautiful. There are hundreds of dangerous birds that can attack a person and cause a lot of damage. While this top ten list is a lot of fun, it's also very true.

  10. Seagulls

Go to the beach or an empty parking lot near the water, you will definitely find a seagull. These white birds with yellow beaks tend to fly down and scare people. However, seagulls generally do not attack, that is, unless you get too close to the nest. Try to get close to the seagull's nest. I can assure you that you will get a few forks in the head. A woman in Britain has been hospitalized after being hit on the head as deep as a seagull's beak.

  9. Screams

This bird is known to hunt small animals and dead animals. If you've ever been chased by a dead deer or animal, you've probably seen a crow feeding near the carcass or flying around or near the animal. If you've ever gotten into a match with a crow, expect to come out with serious scratches and deep puncture wounds. These birds have sharp, hooked beaks that are perfect for tearing apart meat. If enough crows attack you, you can expect some of your skin to go away.

  8. Rhea

Although flightless and not common in the United States, these birds are extremely strong and very similar to ostriches. You can usually find them in South America. These birds can grow up to 60-80 lbs. Although not as large as the ostrich, these birds are known for their powerful legs and feet. Their legs are very muscular and each leg has a very stiff push to accompany it. It is said that if a rhea were to ever kick a human, it could apply about 800 pounds of force per square inch. I'd say that's enough to break a few bones!

  7. Owl

One species of owl known to attack prey of its own size is the great horned owl. This owl is common in North America and has a wingspan of five feet and can weigh over five pounds. Known for its sharp long claws, the owl can seriously injure a person, especially if you approach it during mating or get too close to the owl's nest. These birds will definitely leave painful scratches. The owls will hoo hooing you all the way home.

  6. Falcon

With its razor-sharp claws and beak, the falcon was capable of inflicting damage on its prey. A hawk can cut the spinal cord of its prey due to the shape of its beak. While it would be difficult for just one hawk to rip through a person's spinal cord, I'm sure if enough of them attacked someone, that person could be in serious trouble. If a hawk had attacked you, you would have been left with a bullet wound.

5. Falcon

Like hawks, hawks are birds of prey and fly low to get what they want. There are eyewitness accounts of hawks attempting to attack chicks. Falcons can catch and carry other animals up to 4 lbs. If a hawk with extremely sharp talons attacked a human, it would certainly leave some blood.

  4. Eagle

Eagles are just scary birds to look at! Although eagles do not tend to attack humans, they are capable of attacking and killing a small bear cub, a small dog, and even a decent-sized mountain goat. Although eagles do not usually attack people, they have attacked small children in the past. In May 2008, an eagle attacked a young man and dismembered his body. He had bird cuts and scratches on his neck, back and head. Eagles can leave you with a 2-inch gash on your skin. Stay away from eagle nests!

  3. Condor

If you've ever been to a zoo, you've probably seen a condor. Its wingspan is over 10 feet and it weighs over 40 lbs. The stats of this bird definitely match the damage it can do. If you are ever attacked by a condor, you will be left with serious scratches and deep puncture wounds. In August 1999, a 3-year-old girl was attacked by a condor at the Columbus Ohio Zoo. The bird knocked him down and left him with multiple injuries, mostly puncture wounds.

  2. Cassowaries

You can find these birds in Australia as well as New Guinea. Although these birds look like a cross between an ostrich and a turkey, they are extremely beautiful to look at. However, if you ever corner or get too close to a cassowary, be prepared to attack. These birds are very aggressive and very unpredictable. If a cassowary kicked you, you would definitely break bones. Be prepared for serious scratches and cuts if the dagger-sharp claws catch you.

  1. Ostrich

Although ostriches may seem like nothing more than tall, large birds to you, they are actually capable of causing serious damage to humans. An ostrich can run as fast as 45 miles per hour and can be as large as 9 feet and 350 lbs. Try to avoid the ostrich, I'm sure you won't win. As if speed wasn't enough, the ostrich has a claw on each foot. If you were kicked in the back by an ostrich, it could either: 1. Break your spine, 2. Cut you straight, or 3. Do both. Even though the ostrich didn't look the scariest, I wouldn't pass up the chance to get close to them.
